Mike Porath is the founder and CEO of The Mighty, the leading digital health community that reaches more than 20 million people a month. He discovered the importance of community as the father of a girl with a rare disease, Dup15q syndrome, and created The Mighty to empower and connect people facing diseases, disabilities and other health conditions.
Mike spent most of his career as a journalist, where he won multiple awards and held a variety of reporting, editing, producing and executive roles at ABC News, NBC News, The New York Times and AOL. He is on the board of directors and fundraising chair of Dup15q Alliance, the nonprofit organization that helps people with his daughter’s disorder, and a member of the Global Commission to End the Diagnostic Odyssey for Children with a Rare Disease. Mike and his wife Sarah have three young children and live in the outskirts of Los Angeles.
